SCHOLARSHIPS EVALUATE Process

  • The UCIL Scholarship Committee is responsible for evaluating each year’s scholarship applicants. This committee consists of UCIL faculty, staff, administrators, and community volunteers.
  • General scholarship applicants are evaluated and scored primarily on their application form and essay responses, as well as a verbal video interview via Skype or WeChat. However, specific scholarships may have additional scoring criteria such as GPA, recommendation letters, or other supporting documents.
  • Not all students are guaranteed a scholarship in this process, as we have many more applicants than available scholarships.

Mentor Financial Assistance Program

UCIL mission is to help International Students that wish to further their education in America. We understand that international students pay a much higher rate for tuition than American students, and our goal is to help offset these costs. Our donors help provide tuition assistance for Language Colleges, Community Colleges, and Universities.

As we continue to build our US-based donor platforms, students will receive financial assistance based on the donor's criteria and the funds available. Please fill out our submission form if you want to participate in our donor pool of students.
